Planning
Your Trip
All our office staff know Mongolia well and have
done most of the trips themselves, so they can
advise you on any aspect of your walking holiday
to Mongolia and will help you to plan your hiking
tour. This service is free of charge.

Meet
and Greet
When you arrive, even if you are not with a group,
someone will be waiting to greet you at the airport
or railway station and take you to the hotel.
Similarly, when you leave, you will be taken to
the airport and assisted with your luggage.

Hotel
We use the Continental Hotel, one of the newest
and best hotels in Ulaanbaatar, situated just a
few minutes walk from the central Sukhbaatar Square.
It has a swimming pool, business centre, sauna and
other standard services, and has been enjoyed by
all our clients over the past three years.

Ger Camps
In places of particular beauty or importance,
ger camps are set up during the summer months
to provide accommodation for tourists. Two people
normally share one ger. Nearby are toilet and
washing facilities, including hot water showers.
There is also a large ger which serves as the
restaurant and bar.

Camping
In remote places there are no ger camps or local
hotels, so we camp in Western style tents. We provide
Vango dome tents which are spacious and weather
proof. We try to set up camp nearby a river or lake
so that there is water for washing, and maybe swimming
or fishing too.

Tour
Guides
Our tour leaders and interpreters will travel
with you to ensure that you have every opportunity
to enjoy your hike in Mongolia. In remote places
we usually take with us a local guide as well
who knows the region and the people well. There
are many "hidden wonders" in Mongolia,
which you would never find if not shown by an
experienced guide.

Food
At the Continental Hotel a buffet breakfast is
served each morning. Other meals can be taken
in one of the many restaurants in Ulaanbaatar.
There are lots to choose from, and any guide book
which says the food is not good, is out of date. |
